
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, mspsp, on Saturday led heads of other security agencies on a comprehensive monitoring and supervisory tour of security deployments across the Enugu North Senatorial District as the ongoing bye-election progressed.

The security assessment exercise was aimed at ensuring adequate protection of voters, electoral officials, and election materials, while guaranteeing a peaceful and credible electoral process throughout the district.
Observations from polling units visited indicate that the election has remained largely peaceful and orderly, with no reported security breaches or major incidents. Voters turned out to exercise their franchise in a calm atmosphere, while electoral activities proceeded without disruption.
Security personnel have maintained a visible presence across strategic locations within the senatorial district, reinforcing public confidence and contributing to the smooth conduct of the exercise.
The Enugu State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining effective security measures to ensure the successful conclusion of a free, fair, and credible bye-election.
