“THANK YOU, NDI AWGU” — OKOLO CELEBRATES RE-ELECTION, THANKS MBAH, PLEDGES INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT

The Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, has thanked God, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and the people of Awgu following his re-election for a second term in the September 26, 2026, Enugu State local government elections.

In an appreciation message issued through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, Okolo thanked God for what he described as the peaceful conduct and successful outcome of the election.

He also expressed appreciation to Governor Mbah for his support and confidence in his administration, saying the cooperation between the state and local governments has created an enabling environment for grassroots development.

Okolo described Mbah as an exceptional leader and commended his administration’s development efforts across Enugu State. He also expressed support for the governor’s second-term bid and APC candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The chairman reserved special appreciation for the people of Awgu, thanking them for their trust, support, prayers and renewed mandate.

“Thank you, Ndi Awgu, for your trust always and all your support, love and prayers, and for voting for me again.”

Okolo said the renewed mandate comes with greater responsibility, pledging to build on the achievements of his first term, complete ongoing projects and extend development initiatives across the local government.

He assured residents that villages, communities and towns would receive attention under his administration, stressing his commitment to inclusive grassroots development.

“We will continue from where we stopped and make sure that every village, community and town benefits from ongoing grassroots projects and development.”

The chairman called for continued cooperation among residents, community leaders, political stakeholders and the state government as his administration begins another term.

Okolo’s re-election, he said, marks a renewed commitment to continuity, service and equitable development across Awgu.

For the re-elected chairman, the mandate has been renewed; the task now is to deliver on it.
