According to a communique issued by the BoT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, the board recognized Hon. Sunday Udeh-Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the PDP. This decision is in line with the declarative judgment of the High Court of Enugu, which was upheld by the Court of Appeal.

The BoT also asserted its position as a prominent organ of the PDP, with inherent authority to ensure the highest standards of morality within the party. This move is seen as an effort to reestablish the board’s role in party decision-making.

Furthermore, the BoT expressed satisfaction with the PDP Governors’ Forum and the National Working Committee (NWC) for setting Thursday, March 13th, 2025, as the date for the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. The NEC meeting is expected to provide a platform for critical deliberations that will shape the future of the party.

In a show of confidence, the BoT passed a unanimous vote of confidence in Senator Adolphus Wabara and Senator Ahmed Makarfi for their outstanding leadership.

The communique concluded with a call to party members to remain united and work together to strengthen the party and reclaim its rightful place in the country’s leadership.

The PDP has been grappling with internal conflicts in recent times, and the BoT’s resolutions are seen as a significant step towards resolving the crisis and promoting unity within the party.
