Edeoga Makes Stunning Return to PDP, Pledges Loyalty to Governor Mbah

In a significant development, Barr. Chijioke Edeoga, the former Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, has officially returned to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Edeoga, who had served under the PDP in various capacities, including as a Federal House of Representatives member, commissioner for Local Government affairs, and commissioner for Environment, has pledged his total and unalloyed support to the leadership of Governor Peter Mbah.

Edeoga commended Governor Mbah for his visionary, disruptive, and transformative leadership, which he believes has brought about a paradigm shift in the political landscape of Enugu State. He acknowledged that his decision to return to the PDP may not be appreciated by some disgruntled members of society but emphasized the need to unite as a family and form a formidable front ahead of the 2027 elections.

The Enugu State PDP Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, welcomed Edeoga’s return, describing it as a testament to Governor Mbah’s audacious leadership. He assured that more aggrieved members who left the party in the past would soon rejoin. Dr. Chukwunwike also appreciated Edeoga for nurturing the spirit of oneness and brotherhood, which motivated him to return to the party.

The Chairman, Isi-uzo Local Government Area, Barr Obiora Obegu, described Edeoga’s return to the PDP as a step in the right direction, saying the party would now move stronger devoid of distractions and rancor. Other notable members of the Labour Party accompanied Edeoga to the PDP secretariat in Enugu to formalize his return.
