The Labour Party’s governorship candidate in Enugu state during the 2023 election, Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Edeoga had run a close second against Dr. Peter Mbah in the governorship election, riding on the popularity of Peter Obi’s presidential campaign.
Sources close to the Isi-uzo politician told JOURNALIST101 that Edeoga who has been consulting his associates after a visit by the PDP leaders in the state will be rejoining the party which sent him to the House of Reps in 2023 today.
“Edeoga is on his way back to the PDP,” the source who doesn’t wish to be named at this time said.
“He will be joining the party at the party’s office with his supporters this afternoon.”
