This year’s theme resonates strongly with our collective responsibility to protect the rights, dignity, and future of every child. In his message, Hon. Onwuegbu states:

“Let children learn, not earn. Let’s all join hands to say no to child labour.”

The Honourable Member reiterates that every child deserves access to quality education, a safe environment, and the opportunity to grow and thrive. Child labour not only robs children of their innocence and future but also undermines the development of our communities.

He calls on parents, educators, community leaders, policymakers, and all stakeholders to collaborate in promoting policies and actions that eradicate child labour, ensure school enrollment, and provide adequate support systems for vulnerable families.

In line with his legislative agenda, Hon. Onwuegbu remains committed to supporting laws and initiatives that uphold children’s rights and promote education and welfare across the constituency and the nation at large.

Together, we can build a society where no child is forced to work at the expense of their education and well-being.
