(The end of Barr Agballa and Nnaji’s Grip of Impunity in Enugu APC )

On the 29th of July 2024, a team of two-thirds majority of the members of the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in line with Article 21 of the party, suspended the former State Chairman of the party, Barr Ugochukwu Agballa.
In order to make the suspension legal, they filed a suit in Enugu State High Court, where an injunction preventing Barr Ugochukwu Agballa from parading himself as the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Enugu State was obtained on the 9th of August 2024. This is also aside from his removal from the party by Udi Agbudu Ward Executives on Friday, 19th August 2022.
Barr Ugochukwu Agballa, who claims to be a legal luminary without any history of court appearance, flagrantly refused to adhere to this court order and did not vacate it.
This is a man whose emergence as the State Party Chairman of APC is still under contention, but he has been busy maltreating, intimidating, and harassing other duly elected State Executive members of the party with impunity, in a manner that is against any form of legality.
Sometime last year, Dr Ben Nwoye, who Barr Agballa has been using his structure in APC, decided to make open his group named the Progressive Group; a group which he has been servicing since he left office and used to work for Barr Peter Ndubisi Mbah’s election. He later played on Barr Agballa’s intelligence by feigning to have left APC, which worked, as Barr Agballa and his minister thought their gimmicks would work again in 2027, as their nightmare has officially left the party. But unknown to them, Dr Nwoye was forming a formidable force that will bring victory to APC.
When Agballa and his minister heard about Governor Peter Mbah’s likely defection to APC, it gave them goosebumps, and they started sponsoring a series of attacks and calumnious campaigns against the Owo man. In fact, the level of uncensored abuses was high that the Nkanu man in Dr Ben Nwoye resonated, and he began the journey of reclaiming APC back from Imo.
What is very clear even to the blind is that no matter the level of hatred one would have against Mbah, Chief Uche Nnaji is never an alternative. They are no match whatsoever, and Governor Mbah is coming to take Enugu APC back to glory.
The four-year deceit by Barr Agballa and his cohorts has come to its conclusion. One thing is certain, they will become the leaders of the new political party that they created in Opi a few weeks back, which is IDPPP (Internally Displaced Politicians Political Party).
However, on the lies of blocking the Governor’s rumoured move to APC, it is also only a fool that will agree to such a story. Our popular minister on WhatsApp does not have the capacity to block the entrance of a sitting Governor into APC that he even entered through the back, talkless of someone like Governor Mbah.
Dear Ugo Agballa, your time is up. Dear Minister, you do not have the capacity to stop Barr Mbah from entering APC. I tara ezigbo ahụ. No amount of lies against the Governor or Dr Nwoye can stop that whose time has come.
As the dust begins to settle, what remains is a renewed hope that Enugu APC will soon experience a rebirth. With Governor Mbah’s expected entry and the exit of those who hijacked the system, the party stands a real chance to rebuild, reconnect with the grassroots, and emerge victorious in the next political cycle.
