The Enugu State Government has announced the retrieval of all Official and Diplomatic Passports earlier issued to State Executive appointees whose appointments have either been terminated or have expired.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The directive, which is pursuant to an instruction from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Headquarters, Abuja, was contained in a public service announcement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia.
According to the announcement, all affected individuals are required to submit their passports to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Government House, Enugu, on or before Friday, 5th September, 2025, for onward transmission to the Nigeria Immigration Service, Enugu Command.
The government emphasized that the exercise is a matter of national protocol and in strict compliance with immigration regulations. It further urged all affected persons to treat the directive with utmost urgency.
Prof. Onyia also solicited the full cooperation of the concerned appointees to ensure a smooth and seamless process, while extending the assurances of his highest regards.
