The Ije Awele Movement, a foremost socio-political organization renowned for promoting visionary and people-driven governance, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confirmation and swearing-in of Dr. Kingsley Udeh as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Movement described the development as a moment of pride for Enugu State and a demonstration of the Federal Government’s recognition of excellence, merit, and competence in public service. It noted that Dr. Udeh’s appointment exemplifies the quality of leadership and intellectual distinction that Enugu continues to offer the nation.

According to the statement issued in Enugu, the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Movement, Hon. Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe, said the appointment represents a well-deserved reward for diligence and integrity, adding that Dr. Udeh’s elevation to the Federal Executive Council reinforces the credibility of Enugu’s human capital at the national level.

Ogbuekwe stated that the inclusion of an Enugu-born technocrat in President Tinubu’s cabinet highlights the growing synergy between the state and the Federal Government, which he attributed to the visionary leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah. He maintained that Governor Mbah’s strategic realignment with the national political structure has opened new channels of collaboration and accelerated development for Enugu State.

The Movement observed that the appointment of Dr. Udeh is a visible outcome of Governor Mbah’s courage, foresight, and reform-driven approach to governance, which continues to attract federal attention and opportunities to the state.

The statement further noted that the Ije Awele Movement remains committed to supporting all initiatives that promote inclusion, good governance, and national integration, reaffirming its belief in merit-based leadership and constructive political engagement.

Speaking on behalf of the organization, the Director General of the Ije Awele Movement, Hon. Kingsley Ezinwa, reaffirmed the group’s loyalty and readiness to sustain grassroots mobilization in support of Governor Mbah’s developmental agenda. He disclosed that the Movement has reactivated its broad network across the 260 electoral wards of Enugu State to consolidate support for the governor and promote federal programs that will benefit the state under the new political dispensation.

He emphasized that the Movement’s operations remain guided by principles, not partisanship, and are anchored on the ideals of transparency, accountability, and visionary leadership. The group expressed confidence that Dr. Udeh will bring distinction to his new office and further strengthen Enugu’s contribution to national policy and governance.

The statement was signed by the State Director of Media, Comr. Okpara A. Obinna, who reiterated the Movement’s appreciation to President Tinubu for finding Dr. Udeh worthy of national service and to Governor Mbah for his strategic leadership that continues to reposition Enugu for national relevance.

The Ije Awele Movement concluded that with the combined leadership of Governor Mbah and Dr. Udeh at the state and federal levels, Enugu is poised to experience a new era of inclusiveness, progress, and transformation that will deepen its integration into Nigeria’s development framework.
