
The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has announced that the final environmental sanitation exercise for the year 2025 will take place on Saturday, November 29, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with a statewide restriction of movement in place to ensure full participation.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!ESWAMA stated that during the three-hour exercise, movement of people and vehicles will be strictly limited, except for those on essential duties who must present valid identification or an official ESWAMA Pass. The authority emphasized that any individual or group found violating the restriction will be arrested and prosecuted.
In line with the directive, all early morning sporting activities, loading and off-loading in motor parks, and all commercial operations across the state are to be suspended for the duration of the clean-up.
The agency encouraged residents to actively join the exercise, describing it as part of a collective responsibility to maintain a clean, healthy environment ahead of the festive season and the return of loved ones.
ESWAMA also reminded the public to pay their sanitation rates to authorized e-ticketing agents within their respective areas to avoid penalties.
