At the closing ceremony, the newly trained beneficiaries were certified as professional VSAT installation technicians and presented with industry-standard toolkits to support immediate entry into the broadband and connectivity workforce.

A defining feature of this cohort was its strong emphasis on gender inclusion. Women were not merely represented, they were visibly leading the charge. Their active participation underscored the commitment of both the state government and its partners to ensure that the fast-growing digital economy is built on equity, balance, and accessibility for all.

From satellite broadband setup to field diagnostics and maintenance, the graduates are expected to play a significant role in supporting Nigeria’s expanding connectivity infrastructure. Equipped with both skills and tools, they now form a new generation of tech talents ready to contribute to national and regional digital transformation.

The programme stands as a practical demonstration of Governor Peter Mbah’s Digital Vision, one that prioritizes skills development, empowerment, and inclusive innovation. With initiatives like this, Enugu State continues to position itself as a rising hub for technology, youth development, and opportunity.
