The medical intervention, which has become a recurring and impactful feature of Prof. Nnamchi’s representation, once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of his constituents.

The outreach is part of a constituency-wide health programme that has previously covered Mbulu Njodo, Abakpa 1, Abakpa 2, Trans-Ekulu, Eha-Amufu, Ikem, Mbulu Iyiukwu and several other communities across Enugu East and Isi Uzo.

At Ugwogo Nike, hundreds of residents turned out to access free and quality healthcare services, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, general medical examinations and consultations.

Individuals diagnosed with various ailments such as malaria, hypertension, eye defects, dental problems and other health challenges received professional treatment and prescribed medications at no cost.
Beneficiaries with eye conditions were provided with free medicated eyeglasses, eye drops and relevant drugs to improve and restore their vision, while those with dental issues were carefully examined, treated and given appropriate medications. Other patients equally received expert care and drugs based on their medical needs.

Women, elderly persons, children, youths and other vulnerable members of the community expressed immense joy and appreciation, offering glowing testimonies of restored sight, relieved toothaches, treated malaria cases, improved health conditions and the rare opportunity to undergo essential medical checks they could not ordinarily afford.

Community leaders and residents of Ugwogo Nike lauded Hon. Prof. Paul Nnamchi for what they described as people-focused and compassionate leadership. They noted that in less than three years of representation, he has attracted impactful projects to the community, including the installation of solar street lights in previously dark areas, significantly enhancing safety and quality of life.

The people further applauded the extension of the free medical outreach to the Christmas and New Year season, describing it as a timely and life-saving intervention that not only improved health outcomes but also reinforced the bond between the representative and his constituents.
