In a resignation letter dated 8 June 2026 and addressed to the Chairman of the NDC in Awgu, Hon. Ezebuiro announced his immediate withdrawal from all party activities and structures, stating that his decision was driven by a fundamental disconnect between his democratic values and the current internal operations of the party.

He maintained that internal democracy, fairness, and transparency remain non-negotiable pillars of any credible political institution, lamenting that the party’s present direction no longer reflects these core principles.

According to him, his decision was informed by sustained concerns over the lack of transparency within the party and its continued inability to conduct open, free, and democratic primary elections.

He further emphasized that his exit was not taken lightly, noting his appreciation for the relationships, experiences, and political engagements he enjoyed during his time in the party.

Despite his resignation, Hon. Ezebuiro extended goodwill to the party, wishing its members success in their future political engagements and endeavors.

He concluded by requesting the immediate removal of his name from the party’s membership register, formally bringing his association with the NDC to an end.

Hon. Ezebuiro, who previously contested for the Awgu South State Constituency seat in the Enugu State House of Assembly, is now expected to unveil his next political direction in the coming weeks, amid growing speculation over his future alignment.
