In a public advisory, the Ministry said the only approved payment channel for traffic offence fines is the designated Enugu State Government e-ticketing account, identified by the reference format ENSG/e-ticket/Agent Name. According to the Ministry, this serves as confirmation that payments are made directly into the Enugu State Government’s account.

The Ministry warned members of the public not to pay cash to traffic enforcement officers, transfer money into personal bank accounts, or engage in roadside negotiations to settle traffic violations, noting that such transactions are illegal, unauthorised, and will not be recognised by the government.

It explained that all traffic offence payments should be processed at the designated Ministry of Transport office, where offenders will be issued the appropriate e-ticket and guided through the approved payment procedure using the official ENSG/e-ticket/Agent Name account.

The Ministry also urged residents to remain vigilant and report any individual who requests payment through unauthorised channels or attempts to negotiate traffic offences outside the approved process.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity in traffic management, the Ministry stated that strict adherence to the official e-ticketing payment system will help curb fraud, eliminate illegal collections, protect motorists, and promote a more efficient traffic enforcement process across Enugu State.

The Ministry appealed to all road users to cooperate by using only the approved ENSG/e-ticket/Agent Name payment account for all traffic offence fines.
