Senator Osita Ngwu, representing Enugu West Senatorial District, joined distinguished scholars, policymakers, diplomats, and development experts from across the world at the 7th Chinua Achebe International Conference held at the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

The conference, themed “Reimagining African Development in the Uncharted Democracy,” provided a high-level platform for robust intellectual engagement on the future of democratic governance, inclusive leadership, sustainable development, and Africa’s place in an evolving global landscape.

In a symbolic moment of reflection, Senator Ngwu toured the historic office of the late Professor Chinua Achebe, Africa’s foremost literary icon and one of the continent’s greatest voices on leadership, justice, identity, and nation-building. The visit underscored the enduring relevance of Achebe’s ideals in shaping contemporary conversations on governance and national transformation.

Speaking after the conference, Senator Ngwu described the gathering as a timely convergence of ideas and solutions aimed at redefining Africa’s development trajectory.
