
Creative talents across Enugu State and beyond now have an opportunity to showcase their musical abilities and compete for over ₦7 million in cash prizes as entries officially open for the 2026 Enugu Campaign Jingles Competition.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The competition, organised by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Mainstream Media in partnership with the Tomorrow Is Here Movement (TIH), is designed to discover and promote outstanding musical talent while encouraging the use of creative arts as a tool for civic engagement and public communication.
According to the organisers, participants are expected to produce original, captivating and memorable campaign jingles that highlight the vision, developmental strides and leadership of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, while encouraging voter participation ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The organisers noted that exceptional entries may be adopted for public enlightenment, mobilisation and campaign-related activities in line with the competition’s terms and conditions.
Prize Categories
Successful participants will receive the following cash rewards:
- 1st Prize: ₦2,000,000
- 2nd Prize: ₦1,000,000
- 3rd Prize: ₦750,000
- 4th Prize: ₦600,000
- 5th Prize: ₦500,000
- 6th–10th Prizes: ₦250,000 each
- 10 consolation prizes will also be presented to outstanding participants.
Eligibility and Entry Requirements
The competition is open to musicians, songwriters, vocalists, music producers and other creative talents who are indigenes, residents or well-wishers of Enugu State. Entries may be submitted by individuals or groups, with each participant permitted to submit a maximum of five original compositions.
Jingles must not exceed 60 seconds, must be original works created specifically for the competition, and may be performed in English, Igbo, Pidgin English, a local dialect, or a combination of these languages.
Submissions should be in MP3 format and accompanied by the participant’s name, address, Local Government Area, telephone number and a brief profile.
Submission Deadline
All entries should be submitted via WhatsApp to 09063106930 on or before August 20, 2026.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of experienced judges based on originality, creativity, lyrical content, musical quality, memorability and overall campaign appeal. The organisers stated that the judges’ decision will be final.
The competition was jointly announced by Dan Nwomeh, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Mainstream Media, and Hon. Tony Okonkwo, State Coordinator of the Tomorrow Is Here Movement (TIH), who encouraged creative talents to seize the opportunity to showcase their skills, reach a wider audience and compete for attractive cash rewards.
