The Chief Executive Officer of First Choice Afro Villa Ltd and Mburubu Construction Company, Chief Jerry Patrick Onuokaibe, has urged the youths to utilize the opportunities presented by the administration of Governor Peter Ndubisi Mbah to advance their growth.

Onuokaibe made this known on Saturday in Enugu during the Enugu Skill Fest 2026, organized by the Youth Awakening and Development Initiative (YADI) and held at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.
He stated that the Governor has shown commitment to youth development by organizing programmes and formulating policies that impact positively on the lives of the youths, adding that when Enugu youths actively utilize these opportunities, it will create more avenues to improve their standards of living.
He also praised Governor Mbah’s infrastructural development in the state, especially the roads leading to his community, saying it is the first time since the existence of the community that a government is constructing its roads.
According to him, under Governor Peter Mbah’s administration, several programmes and initiatives have been introduced to empower young people in Enugu State, including the Mbah Youth Technical Empowerment Programme (MYTEP), Enugu Youth Enterprise Launchpad (EYEL), digital skills and innovation programmes through the Enugu SME Centre, Enugu Magic Labs Animation Training Programme, youth-focused skills acquisition programmes, Science, Technical and Vocational Education (STV/TVET) schools, entrepreneurship and agro-enterprise initiatives, software development, coding and other technology training programmes, as well as specialised skills programmes designed to equip young people with practical, digital and entrepreneurial skills for employment and self-reliance. This is why Enugu youths must be part of this advancement so as to be creators of jobs and not seekers, as 21st-century talents require massive mentorship and learning.”
Onuokaibe also used the opportunity to call for more support for the Governor as he seeks re-election in 2027, stressing that he is the best man for the job.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of Artistry Fort Limited Company, Chief Eze Chidera Jude, also known as Ubiego 1 of Enugu State, said Enugu youths are very creative and industrious but require more training and mentorship to progress.
He posited that his background did not limit his growth owing to his consistency in pursuing his goals in line with his vision.
He also praised Governor Mbah’s vision for Enugu State, especially for the youths, saying that the dividends are multigenerational.
Chief Ezeh also assured that he would mobilise support for Governor Mbah’s re-election while promising to support the organizers of the event by recruiting some of their trainees into his company.
“I am committed to supporting the organisers by creating employment opportunities for some of their trainees in my company, because practical experience and employment are essential to sustainable youth development. I believe their skills can contribute to productivity and growth.”
“The future of Enugu belongs to young people who are ready to learn, develop their talents, embrace mentorship and turn opportunities into meaningful enterprises. With the right support, training and determination, our youths can contribute significantly to economic growth, create employment opportunities and become active participants in the development of the state. We also need to come together to support Governor Mbah’s re-election, as it is the best way of advancing our state. I call on all to support Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah so as to make Enugu the best in Africa.”
In his remarks, the Executive Director of YADI, Comrade Timothy Nnamani, said YADI is a youth-focused organisation involved in skills development, entrepreneurship, leadership development and youth empowerment.
He stated that the Enugu Skill Fest programme is part of YADI’s efforts to help skilled and innovative youths in the state advance their growth.
