The Member representing Aninri/Awgu/Oji River Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu, FNSE, was at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, on Sunday, July 7, 2025, for the official launch of Enugu Air.

The event, which held at the international wing of the airport, was presided over by the Minister of Aviation, Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN. It drew dignitaries from across political, traditional, and professional circles, including the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Deputy Governor, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Martin Chukwunweike, and elder statesman, Chief Nnia Nwodo (Ike Ukehe).
Hon. Onwuegbu was seated among other top guests at the event, which marked a significant milestone in the state’s push for improved air transportation, regional connectivity, and economic growth. The unveiling of Enugu Air is expected to open new frontiers for commercial activity and further reinforce Enugu’s place as a key gateway to the Southeast.
