As Enugu State marked its 34th anniversary on Thursday, the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uche Okolo, joined in the celebrations with a goodwill message to the people of the state, describing the milestone as a symbol of God’s faithfulness, resilience, and collective progress.

Speaking through his Special Adviser on General Media and Publicity, Hon. Tochukwu Chukwu, Okolo commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for what he described as visionary, empathetic, and transformative leadership that has given the Coal City a renewed sense of hope in just two years.

He noted that the governor’s achievements in education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, and job creation are clear evidence of purposeful governance. According to him, investor-friendly policies introduced by the Mbah administration have also boosted Enugu’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), positioning the state for long-term growth and prosperity.

Explaining how Awgu Local Government is aligning with this vision, the chairman reaffirmed his commitment to complementing the governor’s transformational agenda at the grassroots. He pointed out that Awgu has already recorded notable progress across key sectors under his watch, in line with the state government’s broader development goals.

Okolo stressed that Governor Mbah’s leadership has redefined governance in Enugu, adding that his administration in Awgu remains determined to sustain the momentum at the local government level.
