ABUJA: ENUGU COMMUNITY ELECTS AKUEGBO AS NEW CHAIRMAN

One of the prominent Enugu  community association  known as Oduma Development Union(ODU) , Oduma  in  Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State with large numbers of  indigenes resident in  Federal Capital Territory Abuja elects  their new chairman through a keenly contested election.

The election attracted people from all walks of life who are members of the community living in Abuja. The community association  whose focal  responsibility revolves around community development has branches all over the country and beyond.

In a bid for new leadership of Abuja branch, different calibers of business merchants , professional individuals etc declared interest to serve the association. Among the numerous  contestants for the chairmanship position, is High Chief  Akuabata Mathias Akuegbo who  scored the highest numbers of votes and declared winner on 3rd August, 2025 and was officially handed over along with others executive members  on the 7th day of September, 2025.

The new chairman, Akuabata. He is the Chief Executive Officer Akuabata Oil and Gas Nigeria Ltd. As a born philanthropist, his selfless services to the branch, his community, friends, well wishers and humanity has generated enormous supporters to him.

He has occupied several positions both home and abroad which has earned him accolades, encomiums and numerous awards and chieftaincy titles beyond ethnic groups n Nigeria.

His business network and net worths are reckoning brand in the national business profile.

His academic credentials and leadership gifts are vital springboard for his managerial competence, accomplishments and greater opportunities to serve humanity.

He expressed thanks to all his supporters and assured to work harmoniously with his team to attract better development to the branch and the entire Oduma community.
