In a congratulatory message issued to newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, the royal father described the appointment as “a well-deserved recognition of one of the finest brains from Enugu State,” noting that Dr. Udeh’s career has been marked by excellence, discipline, and an uncommon dedication to national growth.
Igwe Ogbonna said Nigeria is set to benefit immensely from Dr. Udeh’s intellect, innovative mindset, and commitment to transformation. According to him, the new minister’s expertise and leadership qualities will help reposition the science and technology sector for greater productivity and development.
He further commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for the confidence and support he extended to Dr. Udeh during his service in Enugu State as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice. The monarch praised the governor’s leadership approach, which prioritizes competence and creates opportunities for young and qualified professionals, noting that such a policy has continued to bring Enugu State national recognition.
Igwe Ogbonna also lauded President Tinubu for his keen sense of judgment in appointing a man of proven intellect, experience, and capacity to serve in such a strategic position. He expressed confidence that Dr. Udeh’s appointment would not only make Enugu State proud but also bring honour to the entire Southeast region.

Dr. Udeh stands out as one of the finest minds from Enugu State. His commitment to progress and passion for public service have consistently reflected in every assignment he has undertaken. As Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, he brought energy, vision, and creativity into governance, helping to modernize the legal and judicial systems of the state.
