October 2025 marked another significant milestone in the transformational leadership of Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo, Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area. AWGU WATER FOR ALL INITIATIVE – CLEAN WATER, HEALTHY LIVING
Commissioning of a solar-powered borehole system in Ndeabor
A major highlight of the month was the commissioning of the Awgu Water for All Initiative, a flagship project designed to provide clean, sustainable, solar-powered water to every household across Awgu.
With several functional boreholes already serving communities, this initiative has transformed access to potable water, improved sanitation, and enhanced public health standards.
ROADS THAT CONNECT – INFRASTRUCTURE THAT TRANSFORMS
Hon. Okolo’s administration has continued to prioritize connectivity and accessibility, advancing multiple road projects linking communities and facilitating movement to the Smart Green Schools.
The newly constructed roads, equipped with modern drainage and walkways, reflect the council’s commitment to inclusive growth, economic empowerment, and educational access.
EDUCATION MEETS INFRASTRUCTURE
The October projects also deepened the synergy between education and infrastructure. Improved roads leading to schools have created safer, more accessible learning environments for pupils and teachers across the LGA.

COMMISSIONING TOUR LED BY ENUGU STATE DELEGATION
The two-day commissioning exercise, led by the Enugu State Government delegation, received widespread commendation from residents, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders.
