Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, commenced its e-registration exercise in Ako Nike, Enugu East Local Government Area, following a formal flag-off by the Honourable Member representing Enugu East and Isi Uzo Federal Constituency, Hon. Prof. Paul Sunday Nnamchi.
The exercise, held in the lawmakerโs hometown Ako Nike, drew a wide spectrum of political actors, party officials, community and leaders from across Enugu East, underscoring growing grassroots engagement with the party in the constituency.
Among those in attendance were the Enugu East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Pastor Engr. Beloved-Dan Obi Anike; the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Engr. Kingsley Obinna Anike; the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Barr. Uchena Mbaeke; members of the Enugu State House of Assembly representing Enugu East Urban and Rural Constituencies, Hon. Osita Okoh and Hon. Raymond Ugwu; as well as other notable political stakeholders and community leaders.
In a symbolic order of protocol, Hon. Prof. Nnamchi as highest political officer holder in the constituency was the first to be enrolled in the e-registration exercise. His registration was conducted by the APC Chairman of Mbulu Iyiukwu Ward, Hon. Obinna Igwe.
Addressing party faithful shortly after receiving his card, Prof. Nnamchi described the registration exercise as an opportunity for constituents to consolidate their support for the party that has brought the historic University of Agriculture Ako Nike to the constituency.
He urged residents to embrace the e-registration exercise in unity and solidarity, stressing that active participation would strengthen the partyโs base and ensure sustained developmental engagement at both the federal and state levels.
Several leaders who spoke at the event, including the Local Government Chairman and other party stalwarts, encouraged the people of Enugu East to take the registration exercise seriously, describing it as a practical way of reciprocating the developmental efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Barr. Peter Mbah.
They emphasized that, meaningful progress and continuity of governance reforms depended on strong grassroots involvement, adding that mass participation in the APC e-registration would further position the constituency and the local government as an active stakeholder in the nationโs renewed development agenda.
The flag-off ceremony marked a significant step in consolidating the APCโs presence in Enugu East, with party leaders expressing optimism that the exercise would translate into increased political awareness, unity, and mobilisation across communities in the constituency.
