The Omeiheukwu Youth Alliance (OYA) has congratulated Hon. Engr. Anayo Onwuegbu on the successful completion of his first year in office as a member of the Federal House of Representatives for the Awgu/Aninri/Oji River constituency.

Onwuegbu’s dedication and achievements in advancing human capital development, championing infrastructural growth, and laying a solid foundation for the economic boost of the region are truly commendable.
During his first year in office, Hon. Onwuegbu championed three pivotal bills, including the Federal Medical Centre Bill, River Basins Development Authorities Bill, and Federal University of Agriculture Bill. He also initiated impactful motions addressing flooding, infrastructure development, water supply, vocational training, palm oil production, and boundary dispute resolution.
In addition, Hon. Onwuegbu has implemented various constituency projects focusing on security and infrastructure development, education empowerment, water supply, healthcare delivery, farmers and economic empowerment, and social responsibility. Some notable projects include the construction of over 340 solar-powered street lights, 3km road construction project, and 1.5km asphalt road completion.
Hon. Onwuegbu has also supported education initiatives, including sponsoring 130 students in the National Teachers Institute (NTI) NCE and PGDE scholarship program. Furthermore, he has distributed 600 bags of fertilizers and implemented the ‘indigent traders cash empowerment program’ to support economic empowerment in the region.
OYA praised Hon. Onwuegbu’s visionary leadership and commitment to improving the lives of his constituents, noting that his achievements have not gone unnoticed. The group thanked him for his unwavering service and wished him continued success in his noble endeavors.
