The Portable Water for All in Awgu initiative, led by Hon. Uche Okolo, continues to make remarkable strides in delivering clean and safe water to communities across Awgu Local Government Area . This effort, which was one of the key promises made by Hon. Okolo during his campaign, is now being realized in towns such as Agbogugu, Ihe, Ogbaku, Owelli, Ogugu, Mgbowo, Obeagu , et al. These communities are now benefiting from the installation of boreholes, bringing clean water closer to the indigens.

Hon. Okolo’s vision for Awgu LGA has always been centered on the welfare of the people, and the progress of this water project clearly demonstrates his commitment to improving basic amenities, just as he did when he was TC chairman for one month. By ensuring that communities which once struggled with water scarcity now have access to clean and safe water, he is delivering on a promise that significantly impacts the daily lives of Ndi Awgu.
This project is not just about providing water; it is a clear reflection of the administration’s broader goals to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life in the LGA. Much like the promises made by Governor Peter Mbah during his campaign, where he vowed to increase the GDP of Enugu State to $30 billion in eight years, Hon. Okolo has shown that he is not only capable of making ambitious promises but also following through with tangible results. Governor Mbah’s vision for Enugu State is one of economic growth, and similarly, Hon. Okolo’s initiatives are focused on laying the foundation for long-term development within Awgu LGA.

Indeed, tomorrow is here.
