In accordance with the principles of democratic governance, Governor Diri has handed over power to his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. This decision ensures that the governance of the state will continue uninterrupted, with the deputy governor taking charge of all state functions. In addition to the repair works, Governor Diri announced that the state government has commenced the process of developing its own Independent Power Plant through the procurement and installation of new Gas Turbines.
