BREAKING: ENUGU STATE SELECTED BY JICA FOR PRIMARY MATHS AND SCIENCE EDUCATION INTERVENTION PROGRAMMES

Enugu State has been chosen by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for its Primary Maths and Science Education intervention programs in Nigeria. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to enhance the quality of basic education in the state.

The Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, is working tirelessly to improve education standards. The board appreciates the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for injecting new life into the basic education sector.

ENSUBEB and the Ministry of Education are collaborating to achieve better results. This partnership with professional bodies will focus on improving maths and science education, enhancing academic performance among primary school pupils, and addressing challenges such as high out-of-school rates.

Over 416,000 children are currently out of school in Enugu State. This initiative is expected to significantly impact the state’s education sector, paving the way for a brighter future for its citizens.
