The Emerging Tech Skills for Africa Program, launched by the Enugu State Government, aims to equip young people with the skills needed to succeed in the digital economy.
According to Chidubem Anowor, General Manager/Chief Executive of the Enugu State Tech Hub, the program is designed to create a digitally driven economy in Enugu State. “We are committed to ensuring that our youth are equipped with the skills needed to compete in the global digital market,” Anowor said.
The Enugu East Local Government Chairman has signed up 20,000 students and staff for the program, setting the pace for other local governments in the state. The program’s flexible structure allows participants to complete the 6-month course with just 1.5 hours of virtual classes twice a week, accompanied by weekly hands-on tasks.
The program is part of the Pan-African Disruptive Initiative, which offers tuition-free certification programs with globally accredited diplomas from over 170 universities worldwide.
