Onwuegbu said, “This joyous occasion serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of obedience, submission, and sacrifice. May the values of unity, compassion, and selflessness that define this celebration guide us all, especially during these trying times.”
The lawmaker further emphasized the significance of Prophet Ibrahim’s exemplary display of faith and obedience, stating, “Let us draw inspiration from the unwavering commitment of Prophet Ibrahim, who epitomized the spirit of sacrifice and submission to the will of Allah. May his example inspire us to cultivate a deeper sense of unity, peace, and prosperity in our nation.”
Hon. Onwuegbu also encouraged Muslims to share their blessings with those in need, saying, “As we celebrate this momentous occasion, let us not forget those who are less fortunate. May we use this opportunity to spread joy, hope, and relief to those who need it most.”
As the celebrations commence, Hon. Onwuegbu concluded by wishing Muslims a joyous and blessed Eid-el-Kabir, saying, “Happy celebrations to all our Muslim brothers and sisters! May this occasion bring you peace, happiness, and spiritual fulfillment.”
