
The Office of the Executive Chairman, Enugu State Universal Basic Education Board (ENSUBEB), has issued a goodwill message to mark the successful completion of the 2024/2025 Third Term Academic Session across Enugu State.

In an official statement dated 25th July, 2025, the Executive Chairman, Assoc. Prof. Hyginus Banko Okibe, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all staff, Education Secretaries, Head Teachers, Teachers, and pupils for their commitment and efforts throughout the academic year.
“On behalf of ENSUBEB, I express my heartfelt appreciation to all Staff, Education Secretaries, Head Teachers, Teachers and our beloved pupils for the successful completion of the 2024/2025 Third Term today, Friday the 25th day of July, 2025,” the message read.
He acknowledged the vital role of His Excellency, Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing him as “the most education friendly governor and most enthusiastic personality in human capital development.” He noted that the collective efforts of educators and pupils have aligned with the Governor’s vision to strengthen the teaching and learning process in the state.
Prof. Okibe further commended teachers participating in the Teachers Professional Development Training Programmes, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to equipping teachers to adapt to the Smart School environment and deliver improved learning outcomes.
“The essence is to equip our teachers and thereby strengthen their professional capacity to seamlessly adapt to the Smart School environment. We believe this will motivate our teachers further and spur them to deliver even better outcomes for our pupils,” he said.
Looking ahead to the 2025/2026 academic year, which begins in September 2025, the Chairman urged all teachers, pupils, parents, and stakeholders to embrace the Smart Green School, encouraging parents to enrol their children when schools resume.
“This transformation will not only modernize our learning environment but also position our schools to deliver 21-century education through digital tools, eco-friendly infrastructure, and learner-centered methodology.”
Prof. Okibe assured stakeholders that ENSUBEB remains committed to training, equipping, and supporting teachers and school communities for a smooth transition into this new phase of education in the state.
“Thank you for your cooperation and commitment. While I wish all teachers and pupils a restful and safe holiday and look forward to welcoming you all refreshed and ready in the new academic year, accept please, my esteemed regards.”
