The Chairman of Enugu North Local Government Area, Dr. Ibenaku Onoh, has commended the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and the leadership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), led by Mazi Afam Osigwe, for the successful hosting of the 2025 NBA Annual General Conference in Enugu.

He attributed the success of the gathering to the visionary leadership of Governor Mbah and his deliberate preparation for such landmark events.
According to him, the successful hosting of the conference was made possible by the governor’s delivery of critical infrastructure across the state. He pointed to the International Conference Centre, which was completed earlier in the year, as a world-class venue that provided the right atmosphere for the conference. He also cited the Command and Control Centre that ensured the safety of residents and visitors, as well as the construction of new roads and roundabouts that eased traffic and improved the beauty of the city.
Dr. Onoh further highlighted the upgrading of the Presidential Hotel, which provided modern hospitality services, and the delivery of five ultramodern bus terminals alongside brand-new CNG-powered buses that made movement within the city easier and more comfortable for participants and residents.
He explained that it was on the strength of these achievements that the NBA leadership found Enugu deserving of hosting its members, noting that the city stood out and lived up to expectations.
“Then came the Nigerian Bar Association, led by Mazi Afam Osigwe, who saw all these and knew: Enugu State is where Nigerian lawyers need to experience. This year, the NBA chose Enugu and we stood out and stood tall,” Onoh stated.
Emphasizing the moral of the achievement, he said the success of the event demonstrated that there is victory in preparation at every level.
“There is victory in preparation at every level. Be prepared. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, thank you for preparing Enugu for moments like this. Tomorrow is here,” he concluded.
