Enugu State Gov’t Kicks Off Public/Civil Service Week with Free Medical and Health Outreach for Civil Servants and Residents

The Enugu State Government has commenced its Public/Civil Service Week celebrations with a comprehensive Medical and Health Outreach, taking place today, Monday, 17th November 2025, at the State Secretariat Auditorium. The programme runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an ambulance on standby to attend to any emergencies.

The outreach features a team of 20 healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, laboratory scientists, and a pharmacist, ready to provide expert medical care. Attendees will have access to consultations, treatment, and essential medications for conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, malaria, typhoid, worm infestations, and other common ailments.

Special attention will be given to pregnant women and individuals experiencing infertility challenges, with counselling services available throughout the day. Participants will also benefit from checks of vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, as well as rapid diagnostic tests for blood sugar and prostate health.

All services and medications are being offered free of charge, courtesy of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the health and well-being of civil servants and the wider community.
