
The Enugu State Government has announced plans for the 2025 World Children’s Day celebration, themed “My Day, My Right.” The event is being organised by the Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Enugu State, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the Enugu State Children’s Parliament.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!According to a public service announcement issued by the Ministry of Information and Communication, the event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the PPSMB Hall, located beside NTA, Independence Layout, Enugu. Proceedings will commence at 10:00 a.m.
A major highlight of the day is the presentation of the Nigerian Children’s Report, published by UNICEF, which will be delivered by the Speaker of the Enugu State Children’s Parliament. The celebration will also feature a series of discussions and activities designed to promote children’s rights, showcase their talents, and equip them with vital life skills.
The government is calling on parents and guardians across the state to bring their children and wards to participate in what it describes as a special and impactful event dedicated to advancing the welfare and development of children.
