The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu West Senatorial Zone has restated its loyalty to the vision of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and reaffirmed its commitment to unity, grassroots development, and inclusive governance. This came during the party’s monthly zonal meeting held at the Awgu Local Government Area (LGA) Council Secretariat, which recorded an impressive turnout of members, zonal executives, and prominent political stakeholders.

Declaring the meeting open, Zonal Chairman, Barr. Ernest Nwaeze, applauded members for their unwavering loyalty and active engagement in party activities. He emphasized the importance of harmony, grassroots mobilization, and issue-based politics, urging members to align with the governor’s vision of disruptive innovation and inclusive governance that is already redefining the state’s development trajectory.
Delivering a goodwill message, the PDP Chairman of Awgu LGA, Hon. Kenechukwu Okolo, on behalf of the Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA, Hon. Uchenna Okolo, reaffirmed the council’s strong commitment to grassroots-oriented party initiatives. He pledged continued collaboration with zonal and state leadership to ensure that democratic dividends—consistent with Governor Mbah’s development blueprint—trickle down to citizens at the grassroots level.
The assembly also featured notable contributions from Engr. Hyginus Agu, Executive Chairman of Udi LGA; Hon. Kenechukwu Ejimoffor, Secretary of PDP Enugu West; and other key stakeholders.
In an interactive session, local government executives, former aspirants, youth leaders, and women representatives exchanged ideas on reinforcing internal organization, broadening political participation, and preparing strategies for future electoral contests.
