The President of the Mgbowo General Assembly, Lagos, Mazi Basil Egbo, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Igwe John Azubuike Ibeh, Ohabuenyi II of Ekpulambo Mgbowo, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Greg Ituma, Onyima II of Ekpulato Mgbowo, the Ohaire Mgbowo Lese, and the entire people of Mgbowo on the occasion of this year’s Ikeji Festival.

In his goodwill message, Mazi Egbo described the Ikeji Festival as one of Mgbowo’s most treasured cultural celebrations, noting that it serves as a unifying force that reinforces the people’s shared heritage, promotes peaceful coexistence, and preserves the rich customs and traditions handed down through generations.

He urged sons and daughters of Mgbowo, both at home and across the diaspora, to embrace the spirit of the festival by fostering peace, love, unity, and mutual understanding while recommitting themselves to the collective advancement of the community.

According to him, the sustainable growth and development of Mgbowo depend on the active participation and contributions of all stakeholders. He therefore called on individuals, town unions, community-based organizations, age grades, professional groups, and Mgbowo associations at home and abroad to continue investing their resources, ideas, and efforts toward the socio-economic development and progress of the community.

“As we celebrate this year’s Ikeji Festival, let us remain united in purpose, uphold the values of peace and harmony, and work collectively to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more progressive Mgbowo for both present and future generations,” he stated.

Mazi Egbo prayed for a peaceful, successful, and memorable Ikeji Festival, while wishing the two revered traditional rulers, the Ohaire Mgbowo Lese, and all sons and daughters of Mgbowo God’s blessings, good health, and continued progress.
